About the Exhibition "Eyesight" at the apartment of art
"Eyesight" is the communication between the eye and the outer world. The term denotes the uniqueness and vulnerability of the visual sense. After an extensive passage of reflection and absorption, light falls on our retina, carrying information, archetypes and impressions.
I attempt to retrace this process, challenging the relationship between colour, light and space.The bouncing of light from the flat-surface, wall-painting-plane, colour-spectrum wavelength to the 3D space of the sculptures and back again produces a vitality which takes place principally through the movement of our eyes in connection with our body's movement in immediate space.
